Mordin is the BEST THING. I adore him, and I share your feelings regarding the genophage. I like that he doesn’t stand by it unquestioningly, though. He’s just amazing. :3
See, now I’m gonna start babbling about him…this is your fault, just so everyone knows.
Like, I think he would have been boring if right after you first grill him on the genophage he was like, “You’re right, Shepard. Definitely a mistake. Will not happen again”. But I liked that he still fought you over it and tried to justify his actions every time. And while I’m not saying he was right, his justifications were pretty thought out and not just “I’m right because krogans suck”. He honestly believed that this was the best thing he could do.
And then when you do his loyalty mission and make it face his own actions, I love his dialogue. He’s still fighting you but he’s on shaky ground now. I liked that you find out that he’s still fighting his own demons and just isn’t on one side. I guess its like that running theme of black and white in morality and justice that you also see with Samara and Garrus, you know? Mordin is a bit the in grey area.
His quotes are my favorites, though. Both comedic ones and the serious ones, especially the ones about his nephew and his crisis of faith.
What I’m trying to say is I wish Mordin Solus was an love interest.
